TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Ron Sachs Communications recently added to its award-winning public relations team with four new professional staff hires and a staff promotion. These professionals bring a variety of experience to the Florida firm, which is routinely ranked among the top independent public relations firms in Florida and one of the top 100 firms nationally.


Among the new professionals added to the firm's two Florida offices are Beth Watson, Senior Account Manager; Janelle Pepe, Senior Account Executive; Herbie Thiele, Account Executive and Jessica Isabelle, Account Executive. The firm also announced the promotion of its Director of Special Projects, Lisa Garcia, to Vice President.

CAMBRIDGE, MA. - Seeking a way to substantially reduce injuries among young athletes, the Andrews Institute for Orthopedic & Sports Medicine will soon be the site of a groundbreaking pilot project with positive ramifications for healthcare delivery across the globe.


A four-day strategic planning session at Harvard University, led by Professor John Donovan of Cloud Industries Health*, brought together Baptist Health Care of Pensacola and the Andrews Institute, seeking innovative uses of Web technology and existing medical assets and practices. "I find the answer often lies in what I like to call 'lazy assets,'" explains Donovan. "Those procedures already in place that, with just a little tweaking, can produce dramatically different and beneficial results."

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL. - Florida Governor Charlie Crist today urged Americans in hurricane-vulnerable states to "get ready now" for the 2010 hurricane season. A new National Hurricane Survival Initiative poll of coastal residents in nine states reveals a frighteningly high level of complacency after the relatively quiet 2009 hurricane season. Even in Florida, the state with the longest coastline that historically has been battered by killer storms, one in three residents say they have no family disaster plan or hurricane survival kit.

McCollum leads Sink in Governor's race, Cabinet contests wide open in Sachs/Mason-Dixon poll

A new statewide poll conducted for Ron Sachs Communications shows Attorney General Bill McCollum leading Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink 41 percent to 35 percent in the race for Florida Governor, with 24 percent undecided.


McCollum enjoys high name recognition from 87 percent of registered Florida voters, while Sink is recognized by 61 percent.


In the Republican Primary for Governor, McCollum has a crushing lead over Florida Sen. Paula Dockery - 53 percent to 4 percent among likely Republican Primary voters. Dockery's name is recognized by only 24 percent of likely voters.


In a hypothetical General Election matchup between Dockery and Sink, Sink leads 43 percent to 18 percent, with 39 percent undecided.

Sachs/Mason-Dixon poll: Crist leads all for Senate; Meek leads Brown among Democrats

A new statewide poll released by Ron Sachs Communications shows Gov. Charlie Crist leading 51 percent to 23 percent over former Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio in the Republican primary race for U.S. Senate, with 26 percent undecided.


Crist enjoys virtually total name recognition among Florida Republicans, while Rubio is recognized by 52 percent of likely Republican primary voters.


In the Democratic Primary, Congressman Kendrick Meek leads Congresswoman Corrine Brown 27 percent to 12 percent, but nearly two-thirds of voters, 61 percent, remain undecided. Name recognition for both candidates among Democratic voters remains under 50 percent.

TALLAHASSEE, FL. - PR Week- the most respected national journal of the public relations industry - rated Ron Sachs Communications among the top 100 firms in the U.S. for the third consecutive year in its coveted annual rankings. The firm ranked 88th in the nation for 2009.


The firm, now in its 14th year, ranks third overall in the state. Other Florida firms in the top 100 include The Zimmerman Agency of Tallahassee (43), and the RBB of Miami (82). Other Florida firms in the rankings included Moore Consulting Group of Tallahassee (108).

Ranking number 78 nationally, Ron Sachs Communications has been ranked among the top three public relations firms in the state and the top 100 nationally for the past three consecutive years. The only other Tallahassee-based firm to make the top 100 list was Moore Consulting Group, ranked number 95 in the nation.
