Situation:
Florida Gas Transmission Company, LLC (FGT) operates nearly 5,000 miles of underground pipeline from South Texas to Miami, Florida. FGT recruited Ron Sachs Communications as its communications consultant for the proposed $2.4 billion Phase VIII expansion, increasing the company's delivery capacity by up to 1 billion cubic feet per day. As part of the expansion, FGT plans to install approximately 450 miles of pipeline parallel to existing pipeline right of way and an additional 130 miles of new pipeline right of way.
Strategy:
Assisting FGT in the regulatory process for the Phase VIII expansion, Ron Sachs Communications developed materials for public meetings held at the request of local officials and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, critical during the pre-filing process. Our firm also provides FGT with communications advice and counsel related to media and public outreach activities.
Outcome:
The process is ongoing and pending before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
