Situation:

With Gov. Charlie Crist's impending announcement of the state's purchase of 187,000 acres of land from U.S. Sugar, Ron Sachs Communications had barely a week to position the Everglades Foundation as the premier expert organization and third-party validator.

Strategy:

We managed media relations for the Foundation, securing interviews in every medium across the state and organized the governor's presentation. Once the announcement was made, and news media from around the globe followed up, we assisted in connecting them with key experts within the Foundation.

Outcome:

Ron Sachs Communications played a pivotal role in helping establish relationships between the Foundation and key business leaders, and local, state, national, and international news media. We continue working with the Foundation, building a coalition of business leaders who support and understand the land purchase's economic value in the Everglades' restoration.
