We Give Back

As an integral part of the communities in which we operate, the Ron Sachs Communications staff whole-heartedly believes in giving back, promoting the well-being of the community. Our charitable giving is guided by the principles of bold action - making a difference through measurable impacts on issues we care about - and company pride - knowing our efforts generate positive results.

We divide our charitable efforts into three categories: Firm Initiated Projects, Direct Community Support and Employee-Related Causes.

2009 Big Bend Start! Heart Walk

2009 Big Bend Start! Heart Walk

As the signature fund-raising event for the American Heart Association, the Start! Heart Walk promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun, family environment. Ron Sachs Communications participated in the Start! Heart Walk to support the Big Bend Chapter of the American Heart Association. The ten-member Ron Sachs Communications team participated in the 2.5 mile walk and raised $1,000 toward the American Heart Association's $350k goal. Funds raised at the event support heart and stroke research and education programs. Learn more about the Start! Heart Walk!

Soup with Sachs

Soup with Sachs

Ron Sachs Communications supports the United Way of the Big Bend and its 43 certified agencies through corporate and individual employee contributions. This year, the Ron Sachs Communications team planned some extra events to help increase employee participation in United Way and boost community fundraising. One particularly fun and successful event, "Soup with Sachs," attracted friends of the firm to join us for $5 bottomless bowls of homemade soup. Employees contributed by bringing in a favorite soup, and members of the community were invited to a soup-and-bread luncheon, with all proceeds going to the United Way. Working together, we all make a difference. Giving, advocating and volunteering in our community helps us all "Live United!"

Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce

Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce

As the 2008 chairman of the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, Ron has been a vocal community advocate, constantly seeking opportunities benefiting the Big Bend Region. With environmental issues at the fore, a corporate-based recycling program was a natural. Aimed at Tallahassee's downtown business community - a sector previously neglected - the program allows convenient recycling for businesses' discarded paper and metal containers.

United Way of the Big Bend

United Way of the Big Bend

Employees at Ron Sachs Communications have long supported the United Way - with many targeting their contributions to specific charities around the region. Ron Sachs Communications reached a milestone in 2007, when The United Way recognized the firm for employee participation in excess of 70%.

Leon County Humane Society

Leon County Humane Society

When the Leon County Humane Society directors approached the firm they were looking for an innovative means of promoting the "Spay & Neuter" program. A brainstorming session by Ron Sachs staffers generated more than a dozen different themes and scenarios. The idea chosen and produced prompted, according to the Humane Society, more than 60 informational requests per day for more than a month.
